The right pillow
A pillow for the most beautiful dreams!
Purely a mental thing?
The right pillow is especially important for a good night's sleep. But sleeping habits also play an important role: For example, stomach sleepers need a different pillow than back sleepers. Our silk pillows are available in various sizes and filling quantities.
the ideal pillow
Good to know
If a pillow is too thick or too flat, neck problems and tension can occur. The ideal pillow can support the spine in its recovery process by supporting the head so that the spine forms a straight line all the way to the neck area.
What type of sleeper are you?
-
Stomach sleepers
Sleeping on your stomach not only makes breathing difficult, it also puts additional strain on your spine. Neck pain is often the result. Even going without a mattress can lead to tension—which is why stomach sleepers should always use a flat pillow.
-
side sleepers
For side sleepers, we recommend combining a flat pillow with a side sleeper pillow. The elongated shape prevents the spine from sagging when lying on your side.
-
Back sleepers
When lying on your back, the pillow should fill the hollow of your neck, i.e., the area between the back of your head and your shoulders, to provide comfortable support. At the same time, however, the pillow shouldn't be too high. Many back sleepers prefer a slightly flatter pillow.
-
Broad-shouldered and stronger people
Broad-shouldered men need a higher pillow than petite women. The same applies to heavier people; they also cope better with a higher pillow. This is because broad shoulders and greater weight can easily sink "too deeply" into the mattress. To prevent this, the head should be positioned slightly higher, and the shoulder will no longer sink as deeply.
